Parietal Lobe

The Parietal Lobe of the brain is concerned with integrating sensory information, including touch, taste, temperature, pressure and pain. On this page, you will see the areas where I use my Parietal Lobe the most: riding Motorcycles, going on Adventures, and Cooking with my family.

Travel

Domestic
One of my goals is to visit every National Park in the U.S. Here's a list of National Parks that I've visited.
International
Nothing feels like entering a new world like going to a different country. Here are the countries I've been to

Food
From 2001 - 2013, my family owned a Chinese restaurant called The Mandarin Flower. I would spend most of my childhood there doing homework after school, helping out on busy nights, and learning life lessons from the service industry.
My parents have worked in the restaurant industry ever since they immigrated to the United States and I've had the privilege to have been surrounded by delicious food throughout my life. For me, food symbolizes a connection I have with my family, heritage, and childhood (like that Ratatouille scene).
The purpose of this section is to document the special recipes from my family. While I love discovering new foods from different cultures, I want to share some unique recipes that I grew up with in hopes that it may be passed down to future generations.

In 2016 I joined the motorcycle community when I received my CA Class M License and saved up for my first bike (2009 Ninja 250R). I get a lot of mixed reactions when people learn that I ride a motorcycle. Some people think it's cool while others will think it's crazy and bring up a story about a motorcycle crash.
For those that haven't had the chance to ride a motorcycle, I can tell you it's a very humbling experience. Riding can give me that addicting adrenaline rush but ironically can also a provide a sense of calm relaxation. More importantly, being a motorist has taught me about the responsibility of transportation including maintenance, perspective, and safety. At the end of the day, riding (and operating a vehicle in general) is a privilege. For more of my thoughts on riding a motorcycle, please read my article.
Living in Santa Barbara, California, I've been fortunate to discover new trails and routes all year long as a motorist. I've made it a mission to try to capture some of my favorite spots around town. Feel free to see some of my favorite trails that I've captured (Filmed on a ..GoPro). Hit me up if you ever want to ride!
